JULIAN, WV — The West Virginia Training and Conference Center (WVTCC), owned by the West Virginia Office of Miners’ Health Safety and Training within the West Virginia Department of Commerce, now offers 1-gigabit public internet to its customers. The West Virginia Office of Technology completed the installation.
The WVTCC upgraded from 25 megabytes to 1 gigabit, a 40x increase in speed. Combined with the high-density Wi-Fi network, users will have plenty of bandwidth and coverage to meet the needs of event presenters and attendees.
“This will improve our customer’s digital experience at the West Virginia Training and Conference Center and provides users a reliable network to deliver their programming quickly and help them do business faster,” said Kimberly Bradley, Director of Operations at WVTCC.
WVTCC’s room rental fee includes public access to the Wi-Fi connection and access to state-of-the-art equipment. This technology includes Bose sound systems, overhead LCD projectors, digital screens, and DVD players.
“It is important for attendees to have a great internet connection and speed while using their devices for work and in digital work environments. I’m glad the Center has invested in this technology so we can assist our customers to excel in their work,” said Bradley.
The West Virginia Training and Conference Center is located at 431 Running Right Way, Julian, WV in Boone County, approximately 15 minutes from Southridge on US-119. The West Virginia Center is an event facility featuring meeting and event space, a simulated underground mine lab, and provides industrial training solutions.
